Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when İzzettin Özcebe took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Erzurum booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ataol Suheyl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Galatasaray SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Necdet Helvacı. After 17 minutes, Sümer Belen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray SK and the Erzurum players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sümer Belen kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gencalp Kırgız stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faik Kadrettin's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. A collision led to Galatasaray SK getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Sümer Belen hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Mehmet Ferit Çoğaş shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dong Yin Wei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Üzeyir Keşif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gencalp Kırgız tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game İzzettin Özcebe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray SK's Dong Yin Wei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute, Ahmet Arif Baysan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karahan Işıner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dong Yin Wei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Galatasaray SK's Dong Yin Wei got control of the ball when Karahan Işıner tried to sneak it across the goal line. İzzettin Özcebe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faik Kadrettin made a kick off. İstemihan Başesgioğlu's late challenge caught a Galatasaray SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. İstemihan Başesgioğlu helped the player get up and apologised. İstemihan Başesgioğlu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When Galatasaray SK's Faik Kadrettin in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Erzurum's goalie prevented a goal. Galatasaray SK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arman Sıbgatullah in the 56th minute. When Faik Kadrettin came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Galatasaray SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faik Kadrettin couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Mehmet Ferit Çoğaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erzurum's Gencalp Kırgız proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Erzurum from getting a goal against them. Gencalp Kırgız made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Üzeyir Keşif sent off a good shot on target. After 91 played minutes Erzurum got a freekick which was hit by İstemihan Başesgioğlu. 92 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's Arman Sıbgatullah broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
