The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samatya's Erdoğan Oytunç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Samatya from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute Egemen Günay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abidin Ekabir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, HİDAYET FK's goal looked a bit too open when Pars Ağın came free, but Abidin Ekabir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, HİDAYET FK's İnanç Mirza got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Samatya defense, Necmettin Balcan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erdoğan Oytunç. The Samatya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erdoğan Oytunç should have stopped the shot. When Oğuzkan Şendoğan fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samatya's protests and gave Oğuzkan Şendoğan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Samatya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oğuzkan Şendoğan to maneuver through the defense. Abidin Ekabir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egemen Günay in the 38th minute of the match. Samatya's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Arif Gaffar Özduru scored to the left of an out of position Erdoğan Oytunç, making the score, 2-0. Abidin Ekabir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erberk Polatalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Abidin Ekabir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceyhan İlbeyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 58th match minute, Samatya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Devlet Ateş to maneuver through the defense. Erdoğan Oytunç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pars Yoran, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Arif Gaffar Özduru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erdoğan Oytunç was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 66 played minutes HİDAYET FK got a freekick which was hit by Altay Uyun. 69 minutes into the game, Ceyhan İlbeyi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Abidin Ekabir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Hulusi Evvah kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abidin Ekabir. That made the score 3-2 in the 75 minute of play. Erdoğan Oytunç came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by HİDAYET FK's Arif Gaffar Özduru. But to his dismay, Arif Gaffar Özduru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Egemen Günay kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Necmettin Balcan struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Erdoğan Oytunç didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HİDAYET FK. 93 minutes into the game, HİDAYET FK's Arif Gaffar Özduru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erdoğan Oytunç made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. HİDAYET FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
