The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Aris Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Serhan Kadrican came free, but Ekrem Balkanlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Latif Mengüalp made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Gökçe İskandil sent off a good shot on target. Mehmet Osman Er made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by NIKSAR's Güney Sanbay. In the 11th minute, Ahmet Hasan Tolgan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, NIKSAR's goal looked a bit too open when Levent Mürsel came free, but Latif Mengüalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Melih İkinci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Latif Mengüalp successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ekrem Balkanlı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serhan Kadrican in the 26th minute of play. Mehmet Osman Er hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erhun Dilsaz got free with Latif Mengüalp in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Levent Mürsel to strike the kick off in the second half. When Avni İskender fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NIKSAR's protests and gave Avni İskender a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aris Fc booed when NIKSAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avni İskender didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Aris Fc's Gencer Bilgetay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Latif Mengüalp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Affan Sahadettin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Latif Mengüalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 67 minutes into the match, Aris Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Serhan Kadrican came free, but Ekrem Balkanlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Levent Mürsel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Latif Mengüalp having to make a save. In the 94th minute, Melih İkinci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the NIKSAR players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aris Fc.
