Yenice's Rahmi Özguner shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Erenay Kabakçı but with some difficulty. 34 minutes into the match, Mersin's goal looked a bit too open when Faik Renan came free, but Erenay Kabakçı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erenay Kabakçı didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Yenice's Recep Tayyip Ungur shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Kuddusî İzzettin scored 1-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sabahattin Ruhsan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When Atak Eyüpoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mersin's protests and gave Atak Eyüpoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, Arkın Müşfik sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Yenice's Sabahattin Ruhsan didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atak Eyüpoğlu in the 61st minute of play forced Yenice's goalkeeper Sabahattin Ruhsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabahattin Ruhsan was a little too slow when Atak Eyüpoğlu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 68th minute, Atak Eyüpoğlu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mustafa Haydar Yıldırımtürk hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Recep Tayyip Ungur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yenice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Recep Tayyip Ungur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute Atak Eyüpoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabahattin Ruhsan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cüneyt Nurdag kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. A hard shot by Arkın Müşfik from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Sabahattin Ruhsan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 88 played minutes Yenice got a freekick which was hit by Niyazi Baysungur. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atak Eyüpoğlu in the 89th minute of play forced Yenice's goalkeeper Sabahattin Ruhsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91stth minute of the game Atak Eyüpoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yenice's Sabahattin Ruhsan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Atak Eyüpoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sabahattin Ruhsan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Atak Eyüpoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mersin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
