Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mersin's Atak Eyüpoğlu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Levski Sofia booed when Mersin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkın Müşfik didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Semi Akdiken put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Erenay Kabakçı. After 7 played minutes Mersin got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Osman Tunçkurt. If Birsel Aktan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Semi Akdiken in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erenay Kabakçı saved Mersin from getting behind. Behçet Kuluk hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Semi Akdiken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Semi Akdiken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Erenay Kabakçı was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Levski Sofia's Semi Akdiken in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mersin's goalie prevented a goal. After 40 minutes, Celil Altunışık mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mersin and the Levski Sofia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Behçet Kuluk made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Atak Eyüpoğlu immediately put the ball in play. In the 43rd minute, Ali Atıf Uraltan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Semi Akdiken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Birsel Aktan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Levski Sofia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After the first half Levski Sofia were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Birsel Aktan made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Semi Akdiken in the 53rd minute of play forced Mersin's goalkeeper Erenay Kabakçı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Atak Eyüpoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tacettin Çinuçin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mersin's Atak Eyüpoğlu in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tacettin Çinuçin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şadi Bayülgen, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Levski Sofia's goal looked a bit too open when Kuddusî İzzettin came free, but Tacettin Çinuçin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erenay Kabakçı stood somewhat misplaced when Birsel Aktan came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Erenay Kabakçı came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Levski Sofia's Birsel Aktan. But to his dismay, Birsel Aktan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Osman Tunçkurt in the 84th minute of play forced Levski Sofia's goalkeeper Tacettin Çinuçin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Levski Sofia's Tacettin Çinuçin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Osman Tunçkurt in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Levski Sofia's goal looked a bit too open when Kuddusî İzzettin came free, but Tacettin Çinuçin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Levski Sofia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
