The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uğur Yücesoy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Kuddusî Erdemli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Uğur Yücesoy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Göztepe SK's Uğur Yücesoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökhan Baykır in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Göztepe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Kuddusî Erdemli came free, but Uğur Yücesoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Carlos França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uğur Yücesoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Göztepe SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos França was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Umut Tunca charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball had pretty good speed, but Uğur Yücesoy firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cumhur Temcit scored 0-12 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Uğur Yücesoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Göztepe SK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Avşar Spor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
