Nejat Ersavaş made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Özbek Akçalı sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arda Ozan Turaç in the 10th minute of play forced Göztepe SK's goalkeeper Uğur Yücesoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uğur Yücesoy came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by ESPİYESPOR's Cem Tecer. But to his dismay, Cem Tecer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kahraman Uraza struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Nejat Ersavaş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Göztepe SK. A collision led to ESPİYESPOR getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ahmet Emir Vezir hit a great ball. Uğur Yücesoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Münir Ruşeni, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Mehmet Ediz Koçarslan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Göztepe SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESPİYESPOR the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Göztepe SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Ediz Koçarslan to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Arda Ozan Turaç notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Göztepe SK's Uğur Yücesoy. Uğur Yücesoy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to ESPİYESPOR getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ahmet Emir Vezir hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Ahmet Emir Vezir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uğur Yücesoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half ESPİYESPOR were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kahraman Uraza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Cem Tecer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uğur Yücesoy. Göztepe SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cem Tecer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 61 played minutes Göztepe SK got a freekick which was hit by Nuratay Açıkgün. Uğur Yücesoy was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Cem Tecer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cem Tecer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. A collision led to Göztepe SK getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Atıf Yıldızhan hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the game, Dündar Yağın cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Uğur Yücesoy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uğur Yücesoy made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cem Tecer sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Kahraman Uraza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nejat Ersavaş was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Ahmet Emir Vezir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Uğur Yücesoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ESPİYESPOR played a much better game than Göztepe SK and deserved their victory. The Göztepe SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
