The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Erzincan FK's Songurbey Ökten got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Doğuş Nevzat came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Erzincan FK's Yahya Balkar. But to his dismay, Yahya Balkar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th minute, тrαвzoɴѕpor's Erenay Yaldırak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alparslan Utkan. Alparslan Utkan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After some careless play in the тrαвzoɴѕpor defense, kaya Aysan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doğuş Nevzat. The тrαвzoɴѕpor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doğuş Nevzat should have stopped the shot. In the 21st match minute, Erzincan FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yahya Balkar to maneuver through the defense. Doğuş Nevzat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from kaya Aysan in the 23rd minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Erzincan FK's Bora Ulusu made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doğuş Nevzat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Doğuş Nevzat came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Erzincan FK's Bora Ulusu. But to his dismay, Bora Ulusu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. 35 minutes into the game, Erzincan FK's Bora Ulusu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doğuş Nevzat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Doğuş Nevzat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bora Ulusu in the 40th minute of play. тrαвzoɴѕpor's Doğuş Nevzat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Songurbey Ökten in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, тrαвzoɴѕpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ümit Sağman to maneuver through the defense. Doğuş Nevzat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bora Ulusu went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yahya Balkar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doğuş Nevzat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Birkan Usum succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-9 in the 60th playminute. A collision led to Erzincan FK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play.
