In the 5th minute, Bengt-Arne Tönnberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sarper Ongu. The goal made the score 1-0. Teofilo Llorca came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sarper Ongu could save by the left post. 9 minutes into the game, Galatasaray SK's Bengt-Arne Tönnberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sarper Ongu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Teofilo Llorca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bandırmaspor getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Veysel Erdesir hit a great ball. Bandırmaspor's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bengt-Arne Tönnberg 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Merih Eraksan kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Bengt-Arne Tönnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd match minute, Bandırmaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uluç Ubeydullah to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Bengt-Arne Tönnberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sarper Ongu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Arne Tönnberg during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teofilo Llorca in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sarper Ongu saved Bandırmaspor from getting behind. Bandırmaspor's Sarper Ongu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Baki Canbek in the 53rd minute of play. Uluç Ubeydullah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Bengt-Arne Tönnberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sarper Ongu. After some careless play in the Bandırmaspor defense, Teofilo Llorca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sarper Ongu. The Bandırmaspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sarper Ongu should have stopped the shot. After having played for 78 minutes, Baturay Vefik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baturay Vefik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Teofilo Llorca notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Bandırmaspor's Sarper Ongu. Sarper Ongu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bandırmaspor made a substitution. Atakan Turatekin replaced Aygün Talu. The Galatasaray SK fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Galatasaray SK's Bengt-Arne Tönnberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Baturay Vefik hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Uluç Ubeydullah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galatasaray SK had played much better football throughout.
