After some careless play in the MERT-SU defense, Bengt-Arne Tönnberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saffet Cenger. The MERT-SU fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saffet Cenger should have stopped the shot. After 12th play minutes Bengt-Arne Tönnberg shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Saffet Cenger and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 19th minute, Bengt-Arne Tönnberg made a precise shot to the right of Saffet Cenger. MERT-SU's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 22nd minute, Bengt-Arne Tönnberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Teofilo Llorca had several of the MERT-SU's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 6-0 score and a disappointed Saffet Cenger as he didn't even see the shot coming. Teofilo Llorca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Saffet Cenger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Teofilo Llorca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saffet Cenger having to interfere. If Teofilo Llorca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gökçen Evcimen made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Teofilo Llorca put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Saffet Cenger. After 55th play minutes Teofilo Llorca shot 10-0, a short shot which went by Saffet Cenger and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Bengt-Arne Tönnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Arne Tönnberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee gave Galatasaray SK a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. In the 66th minute Teofilo Llorca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saffet Cenger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Atilla Kağan Tara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MERT-SU's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galatasaray SK the free kick. After 70 played minutes MERT-SU got a freekick which was hit by Atilla Kağan Tara. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray SK's Kamer Bağış got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Teofilo Llorca might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saffet Cenger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teofilo Llorca ran back to his position shaking his head. The Galatasaray SK fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Galatasaray SK's Teofilo Llorca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 13-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 81 minutes of play, Galatasaray SK's Bengt-Arne Tönnberg made it 14-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saffet Cenger was left in no man's land by his defense there! In a very dangerous position, a player in MERT-SU fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Galatasaray SK a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sebati Şahinalp, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MERT-SU's Saffet Cenger. 16-0. Saffet Cenger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Llorca in the 94th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, MERT-SU's Göksel Tarık got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Teofilo Llorca put it in 17-0 from a short distance just to the right of Saffet Cenger. Saffet Cenger came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray SK's Teofilo Llorca. But to his dismay, Teofilo Llorca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 18-0. Galatasaray SK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
