Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tayfur Koçubey started the match with the kick off. Tuna Başhekim struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Mehmet Ali Barkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Afyon. If Tuna Başhekim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Afyon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Ahlat. Nizam Özkar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aybar Necmi. 0-1. In the 25th minute, Tayfur Koçubey made a precise shot to the right of Aybar Necmi. Afyon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Tayfur Koçubey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 minutes, Tayfur Koçubey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ahlat and the Afyon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ahlat's Tayfur Koçubey got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Tuna Başhekim sped through Ahlat's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mehmet Ali Barkan. 48 minutes into the match, Afyon's goal looked a bit too open when Mazhar Onal came free, but Aybar Necmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tuna Başhekim in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Ali Barkan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Erdem Birsoy during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ahlat getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ahmet Erdem Birsoy hit a great ball. Ahlat's Mehmet Ali Barkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuna Başhekim in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Münir İlkay in the 59th minute of play forced Ahlat's goalkeeper Mehmet Ali Barkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Talha Nazır kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Aybar Necmi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nizam Özkar. Tuna Başhekim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Münir İlkay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Ali Barkan having to interfere. When Mazhar Onal fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ahlat's protests and gave Mazhar Onal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Mazhar Onal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Ali Barkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tuna Başhekim, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute Tayfur Koçubey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aybar Necmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mazhar Onal got free with Aybar Necmi in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mazhar Onal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
