Münir İlkay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afyon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuna Başhekim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute of the match, Sancarbey Yalınay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aybar Necmi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 18th minute, Tuna Başhekim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arif Memduh Tanfer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Adalar's Arif Memduh Tanfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Münir İlkay in the 21st minute of play. The Adalar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arif Memduh Tanfer should have stopped the shot. Arif Memduh Tanfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuna Başhekim in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Afyon booed when Adalar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yusuf Bahadır İğdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tuna Başhekim to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Adalar getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Arif Memduh Tanfer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Afyon. Fikret Pekel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Memduh Tanfer having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Ramazan Dural was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Afyon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adalar the free kick.
