The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mazhar Onal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Camliyayla SK's Hamdi Gürtuna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Camliyayla SK from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Atahan Şemsi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camliyayla SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Atahan Şemsi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Ali Barkan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 minutes, Mazhar Onal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ahlat and the Camliyayla SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ahlat getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Mazhar Onal hit a great ball. Hamdi Gürtuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tayfur Koçubey in the 31st minute of the match. Hamdi Gürtuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tayfur Koçubey in the 33rd minute of play. Hamdi Gürtuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tayfur Koçubey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Ahlat's Tayfur Koçubey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamdi Gürtuna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mazhar Onal sped through Camliyayla SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hamdi Gürtuna. In the 70th minute Tayfur Koçubey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamdi Gürtuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tayfur Koçubey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
