After 2 played minutes erzurumspor got a freekick which was hit by Hazım Sabri. When Halim Biçim fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaptan Özveren during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kadri Şahin got free with Serdar Cezlan in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bilal Yetik hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Hilmi Baloğlu came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Babacan SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilmi Baloğlu couldn't finish the play. Serdar Cezlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilmi Baloğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. erzurumspor's Serdar Cezlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilmi Baloğlu in the 27th minute of play. erzurumspor's Ziya Derdiyok got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Halim Biçim got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 35 played minutes erzurumspor got a freekick which was hit by Halim Biçim. If Ziya Derdiyok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Hazım Sabri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. erzurumspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hazım Sabri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kadri Şahin made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ziya Derdiyok got free with Mustafa Numan Mevlit in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Babacan SK's goalkeeper Mustafa Numan Mevlit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ziya Derdiyok. Serdar Cezlan came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Babacan SK's Kadri Şahin. But to his dismay, Kadri Şahin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ziya Derdiyok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Mustafa Numan Mevlit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hazım Sabri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 minutes, Ziya Derdiyok made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Babacan SK's Mustafa Numan Mevlit tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th match minute, Babacan SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derman Sami to maneuver through the defense. Ziya Derdiyok who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Mustafa Numan Mevlit when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 91 minutes into the match, Babacan SK's goal looked a bit too open when Hazım Sabri came free, but Mustafa Numan Mevlit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Hazım Sabri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. erzurumspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hazım Sabri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
