Veli İksir was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Kudret Özcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Fehmi Ayalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Şahin Eker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 minutes, Aydemir Kocay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ankaragüçü and the İMRANLI SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes ankaragüçü got a freekick which was hit by Seçkin Şömel. After 64 played minutes, İMRANLI SK's Aytaç Peşrev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acar Akkın came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in İMRANLI SK reached it. Fehmi Ayalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Fatih Murtaza in the 68th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes İMRANLI SK got a freekick which was hit by Faik Uca. If Seçkin Şömel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Mehmet Fatih Murtaza mouthed his way into the referee's book. After a defensive mix-up in İMRANLI SK's zone, Kudret Özcan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fehmi Ayalp came out of the goal and Kudret Özcan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
