The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Ataman Ayvaz managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Dumlupinar's Şeref Ziver fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Şeref Ziver in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ataman Ayvaz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Şeref Ziver might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ataman Ayvaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Şeref Ziver ran back to his position shaking his head. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü's Ataman Ayvaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şeref Ziver in the 11th minute of play. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Şeref Ziver sped through Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ataman Ayvaz. Ataman Ayvaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Şeref Ziver in the 17th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ardahan Hadim to maneuver through the defense. If Haldun Han had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Haldun Han managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dumlupinar's supporters rose to their feet, but Haldun Han was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ataman Ayvaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 28 minutes, Şeref Ziver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dumlupinar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şeref Ziver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haldun Han in the 30th minute of play forced Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü's goalkeeper Ataman Ayvaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü's zone, Şeref Ziver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ataman Ayvaz came out of the goal and Şeref Ziver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Şeref Ziver did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ataman Ayvaz 34 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü defense, Şeref Ziver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ataman Ayvaz. The Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ataman Ayvaz should have stopped the shot. Haldun Han sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Şeref Ziver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aral Ekinci made a kick off. After 57 played minutes Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Bedri Bedih. In the 58th minute, Naci Çelik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ataman Ayvaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haldun Han in the 61st minute of the match. Ataman Ayvaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şeref Ziver, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Haldun Han fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataman Ayvaz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şeref Ziver in the 67th minute of play forced Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü's goalkeeper Ataman Ayvaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ardahan Hadim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ataman Ayvaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Şeref Ziver went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Ataman Ayvaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haldun Han in the 81st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şeref Ziver in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ataman Ayvaz saved Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü from getting behind. Ataman Ayvaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şeref Ziver in the 87th minute of play. Ataman Ayvaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haldun Han in the 89th minute of the match. When Şeref Ziver came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Dumlupinar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şeref Ziver couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü's zone, Haldun Han stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ataman Ayvaz came out of the goal and Haldun Han tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dumlupinar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
