The supporters of Dumlupinar booed when Pendik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hami Durdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pendik's zone, Haldun Han stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göksun Uluşahin came out of the goal and Haldun Han tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 played minutes Pendik got a freekick which was hit by Güneri Cemşit.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Şeref Ziver in the 53rd minute of play forced Pendik's goalkeeper Göksun Uluşahin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haldun Han fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göksun Uluşahin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erdinç Kuntman in the 60th minute of play forced Dumlupinar's goalkeeper Necip Ulubaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Göksun Uluşahin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Şeref Ziver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Göksun Uluşahin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Haldun Han had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şeref Ziver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute, Ahmet Asım Seyfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Dumlupinar had won after a very even match.
