Spectators: 6150 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Birsel Tanpınar started the match with the kick off. If Bayezit Can had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hadi Safir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Halit Ziya Tuğkun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Halit Ziya Tuğkun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hadi Safir in the 16th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Baskale got a freekick which was hit by İskender Erbatur. When Birsel Tanpınar came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ilgin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birsel Tanpınar couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Ilgin's goal looked a bit too open when Hadi Safir came free, but Halit Ziya Tuğkun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilgin's goalkeeper Halit Ziya Tuğkun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Birsel Tanpınar fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilgin's protests and gave Birsel Tanpınar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ilgin getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Birsel Tanpınar hit a great ball. Bayezit Can received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Halit Ziya Tuğkun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İskender Erbatur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halit Ziya Tuğkun having to interfere. Birsel Tanpınar was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Baskale's İskender Erbatur got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Birsel Tanpınar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Bayezit Can managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baskale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bayezit Can was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, İsa Ülken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bayezit Can stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Birsel Tanpınar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yıldıray Yeltekin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Baskale's Ali Numan Önen got a free kick in the 55th minute. Bayezit Can's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Halit Ziya Tuğkun firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Ilgin's zone, Bayezit Can stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halit Ziya Tuğkun came out of the goal and Bayezit Can tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İsa Ülken during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ilgin's İsa Ülken got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Bayezit Can got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Ilgin defense, Ateş Sungurbay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Halit Ziya Tuğkun. The Ilgin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halit Ziya Tuğkun should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Ateş Sungurbay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baskale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilgin the free kick. In the 68th minute, Ateş Sungurbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 played minutes Baskale got a freekick which was hit by Ali Numan Önen. Birsel Tanpınar struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Yıldıray Yeltekin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilgin. After 75 played minutes Baskale got a freekick which was hit by Ateş Sungurbay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birsel Tanpınar in the 81st minute of play forced Baskale's goalkeeper Yıldıray Yeltekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Hayati Denizalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilgin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayati Denizalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Ateş Sungurbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Hayati Denizalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yıldıray Yeltekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayati Denizalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Rıza Atabey kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Baskale's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
