Yıldıray Yeltekin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paşa Ali Osmanoğlu. İskender Erbatur hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Gerger's Hürkan Kutsoy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some careless play in the Baskale defense, Nurtekin Nebi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yıldıray Yeltekin. The Baskale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yıldıray Yeltekin should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Gerger's Birol Bucak got control of the ball when Bayezit Can tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hadi Safir in the 69th minute of play forced Gerger's goalkeeper Birol Bucak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Hadi Safir dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Birol Bucak, 2-2. Birol Bucak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bayezit Can went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute, Hürkan Kutsoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hadi Safir might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birol Bucak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hadi Safir ran back to his position shaking his head. When Hadi Safir came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Baskale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hadi Safir couldn't finish the play. If Bayezit Can had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Gerger got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Edip Çapan. When the match was over Baskale could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gerger throughout the match.
