Tamer Civan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Türkeş Batüralp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 minutes, Türkeş Batüralp made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Fenerbahçe's Tamer Civan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Türkeş Batüralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tamer Civan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasret Tansu in the 23rd minute of play. Hasret Tansu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gürbüz Kutan kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Tamer Civan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasret Tansu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Refik Halit Nurbay hit a great ball. Tamer Civan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasret Tansu in the 33rd minute of play. Orbay Akar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK's Özgün Hamurcu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK from getting a goal against them. The Fenerbahçe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK were winning 0-3.

Özgün Hamurcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orbay Akar in the 52nd minute of play. Kıvanç Özpolat hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Orbay Akar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Özgün Hamurcu was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Orbay Akar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tamer Civan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Türkeş Batüralp in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sufi Akdoğ during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 70 minutes, Türkeş Batüralp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Türkeş Batüralp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hasret Tansu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Hasret Tansu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tamer Civan. The goal made the score 0-4. 77 minutes into the match, MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK's Hasret Tansu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tamer Civan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe's Harun Guftar got a free kick in the 78th minute. Tamer Civan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hasret Tansu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Tamer Civan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasret Tansu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Türkeş Batüralp in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tamer Civan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Refik Halit Nurbay hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Hasret Tansu managed to get in a good position for a shot. MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hasret Tansu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tamer Civan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
