The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Numan Onur in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Azim Özerman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. İlyas Tolga Mengü fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remzi Sualp having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Seyrani Abide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seyrani Abide during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Çanakkale Spor Kulübü A.Ş getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Seyrani Abide hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Çanakkale Spor Kulübü A.Ş's zone, Şimşek Pala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remzi Sualp came out of the goal and Şimşek Pala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Şimşek Pala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karagümrük FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şimşek Pala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karagümrük FK's Azim Özerman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güray Unat in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Karagümrük FK getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. İlyas Tolga Mengü hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the game, Karagümrük FK's Şimşek Pala nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remzi Sualp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Şimşek Pala took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Remzi Sualp to make any attempt to save it. 29 minutes into the game, Çanakkale Spor Kulübü A.Ş's Numan Onur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Azim Özerman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Numan Onur in the 37th minute of play forced Karagümrük FK's goalkeeper Azim Özerman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Evren Şükran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Çanakkale Spor Kulübü A.Ş's Seyfullah Aksungur got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kuzey Turalp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Karagümrük FK's goalkeeper Azim Özerman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Güray Unat. After 55 minutes of play Karagümrük FK's Evren Şükran was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Çanakkale Spor Kulübü A.Ş booed when Karagümrük FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evren Şükran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Numan Onur struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Azim Özerman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Çanakkale Spor Kulübü A.Ş. Azim Özerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Numan Onur, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Numan Onur came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Çanakkale Spor Kulübü A.Ş fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Numan Onur couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güray Unat got free with Azim Özerman in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kuzey Turalp struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Remzi Sualp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karagümrük FK. In the 91st minute, Ahmet Kutsi Tezeren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Kuzey Turalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karagümrük FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Karagümrük FK had played much better football throughout.
