An unexpectedly hard shot by Aktaç Dahi in the 9th minute of play forced Can's goalkeeper Cerilo Retana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cerilo Retana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aktaç Dahi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sivasspor's Bilal Yordam in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Can's goalie prevented a goal. Aktaç Dahi took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cerilo Retana. Cerilo Retana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Cerilo Retana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bilal Yordam, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ercan Demirkan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Cerilo Retana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aktaç Dahi in the 32nd minute of the match. Bilal Yordam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Cerilo Retana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bilal Yordam in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cerilo Retana saved Can from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Can's zone, Aktaç Dahi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cerilo Retana came out of the goal and Aktaç Dahi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Aysan Nasreddin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Can's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aysan Nasreddin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aysan Nasreddin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sivasspor booed when Can was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aysan Nasreddin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Bilal Yordam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cerilo Retana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aktaç Dahis short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Cerilo Retana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sivasspor's Bilal Yordam got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Özden Ersavaş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Can's Aysan Nasreddin got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cerilo Retana made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Aktaç Dahi sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd match minute, Can was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürsel Akabe to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Özden Ersavaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cerilo Retana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aktaç Dahi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Cerilo Retana when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
