Galatasaray were furious when Milko Kúnchev was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 9th minute, one of F.c. Galatasaray:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.c. Galatasaray. Hakkı Kenan Oker shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Batı Salman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tuna Eraltay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Güney Hürkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuna Eraltay having to interfere. When Gafur Timurkan fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pamukkale JK's protests and gave Gafur Timurkan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pamukkale JK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Gafur Timurkan hit a great ball. F.c. Galatasaray's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nurkan Elmastaş in the 25th minute. After taking down the ball on F.c. Galatasaray's corner Nurkan Elmastaş fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tuna Eraltay quite easily take care of the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remzi Tanver made a kick off. After 59 played minutes Pamukkale JK got a freekick which was hit by Hakkı Kenan Oker. Tuna Eraltay made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Li Chao Jun sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd match minute, Pamukkale JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Kenan Oker to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as F.c. Galatasaray's Batı Salman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tuna Eraltay. That made the score 1-4 after 71 minutes of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Güney Hürkan couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute of the match, Batı Salman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tuna Eraltay saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
