Catalpinar's Garip Hepyener played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abbas Varol in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catalpinar's goalkeeper Garip Hepyener, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute Abbas Varol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garip Hepyener saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garip Hepyener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abbas Varol in the 16th minute of the match. Kadir Akdurmuş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bilge Hiçsönmez in the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Abbas Varol took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Garip Hepyener to make any attempt to save it. Abbas Varol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garip Hepyener having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bilge Hiçsönmez made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Abbas Varol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garip Hepyener saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Abbas Varol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sultanhamam's supporters rose to their feet, but Abbas Varol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garip Hepyener breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abbas Varol took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garip Hepyener. Garip Hepyener dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Abbas Varol fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sultanhamam's protests and gave Abbas Varol a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sultanhamam's Abbas Varol got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Sultanhamam's Baybars Birsoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After a defensive mix-up in Catalpinar's zone, Abbas Varol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garip Hepyener came out of the goal and Abbas Varol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute of the match Oğuzalp Tuna shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Garip Hepyener showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Catalpinar's goal looked a bit too open when Abbas Varol came free, but Garip Hepyener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abbas Varol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garip Hepyener having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anıl Arda Tuyan during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Catalpinar booed when Sultanhamam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anıl Arda Tuyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sultanhamam could leave the field as winners, despite Catalpinar having more of the ball for most of the match.
