If Bedir Tatu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerger's Cengizhan Alpman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakup Kadri Beybolat in the 6th minute of play. Cengizhan Alpman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bedir Tatu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Bülent Eke's late challenge caught a Gerger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Bülent Eke helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, one of Zara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zara. Emran Bender charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emran Bender the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes, Gerger's Selahaddin Öztuna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Namık Kemal Yüce came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gerger reached it. Hızır Ziver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Namık Kemal Yüce having to interfere. Cengizhan Alpman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yakup Kadri Beybolat in the 26th minute of the match. Yakup Kadri Beybolat took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cengizhan Alpman. Cengizhan Alpman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duman Baysal got free with Cengizhan Alpman in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Selahaddin Öztuna during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Selahaddin Öztuna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Gerger's Göktan Ataergin got a free kick in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Yakup Kadri Beybolat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cengizhan Alpman. Gerger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yakup Kadri Beybolat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Thanks to some nice moves Duman Baysal could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Cengizhan Alpman however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Gerger booed when Zara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yakup Kadri Beybolat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Gerger's goal looked a bit too open when Emran Bender came free, but Cengizhan Alpman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bedir Tatu to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duman Baysal in the 57th minute of play forced Gerger's goalkeeper Cengizhan Alpman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Hızır Ziver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Namık Kemal Yüce was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Zara's Yakup Kadri Beybolat got a free kick in the 60th minute. Hızır Ziver received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Namık Kemal Yüce came out and tried to block the shot, but Hızır Ziver slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 65th minute. In the 73rd minute, Duman Baysal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cengizhan Alpman was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. After 78 played minutes, Gerger's Selahaddin Öztuna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Namık Kemal Yüce came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After 80 played minutes Gerger got a freekick which was hit by Bilge Kağan Ogün. Bircan Uğurtay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cengizhan Alpman. Gerger's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Namık Kemal Yüce made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Aytuğ Kocaman sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Bedir Tatu made a precise shot to the right of Cengizhan Alpman. Gerger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aytuğ Kocaman in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Namık Kemal Yüce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 91 played minutes Gerger got a freekick which was hit by Bilge Kağan Ogün. When the referee ended the match the Zara players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
