Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Müslüm Kocay got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Esentepe JK booed when Kadiköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basri Oğuzbala didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Can Sazak sped through Kadiköy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ali Cengiz Patlar. In the 15th minute Can Sazak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Cengiz Patlar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Can Sazak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Cengiz Patlar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Can Sazak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Can Sazak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Cengiz Patlar having to interfere. Kerem Perver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dilmen Unat in the 31st minute. Ali Cengiz Patlar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Can Sazak in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Ahmet Yahya Reyyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Cengiz Patlar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Kadiköy's Sezgin Kutalmış made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kerem Perver was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ali Cengiz Patlar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Yahya Reyyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Cengiz Patlar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Can Sazak in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Can Sazak made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Esentepe JK's Gencalp Bağışhan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ali Cengiz Patlar. Ali Cengiz Patlar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Dilmen Unat hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Can Sazak hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Can Sazak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute Müslüm Kocay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kerem Perver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Can Sazak in the 75th minute of play forced Kadiköy's goalkeeper Ali Cengiz Patlar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gencalp Bağışhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Can Sazak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ali Cengiz Patlar having to make a save. Kerem Perver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dilmen Unat, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esentepe JK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
