The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Mehdi Nadi put in a rough tackle. In the 11th minute, one of Kanlica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kanlica. Seyfettin Akbaba had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Orhun Balaman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 16th minute, İsa Ongay made a precise shot to the right of Seyfettin Akbaba. Kanlica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, Olcay Samet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kanlica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yesilyurt the free kick. After 21 played minutes Kanlica got a freekick which was hit by Olcay Samet. The audience thought a goal was coming when İsa Ongay got free with Seyfettin Akbaba in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th play minute İsa Ongay came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Seyfettin Akbaba. 2-0. İsa Ongay kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 28thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Kanlica's keeper Seyfettin Akbaba was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kanlica's Seyfettin Akbaba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Kanlica from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Özden Ergazi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Kanlica's Ahmet Bedri Coşkun got a free kick in the 35th minute. If Alaaddin Akyel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ergincan İlican's late challenge caught a Kanlica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ergincan İlican helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Yesilyurt getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ergincan İlican hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Kanlica's goalkeeper Seyfettin Akbaba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cengiz Balbay. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell İsa Ongay to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alaaddin Akyel in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Seyfettin Akbaba saved Kanlica from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by İsa Ongay in the 55th minute of play forced Kanlica's goalkeeper Seyfettin Akbaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seyfettin Akbaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsa Ongay, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. İsa Ongay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seyfettin Akbaba having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Ahmet Bedri Coşkun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kanlica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yesilyurt the free kick. Kanlica's Seyfettin Akbaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsa Ongay in the 72nd minute of play. İsa Ongay scored 3-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seyfettin Akbaba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 77 minutes, Özden Ergazi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
