When Yahya Kemal Talik came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the BKTRTT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yahya Kemal Talik couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Sait Bayazid put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kağan Arabacı. Göztepe SK's Kağan Arabacı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şafak Attar in the 8th minute of play. Sait Bayazid took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kağan Arabacı. Kağan Arabacı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Göztepe SK booed when BKTRTT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şenel Sarih didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Göztepe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Sait Bayazid came free, but Kağan Arabacı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vahap Şahoğlu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 22nd playminute. With an all-out effort, Göztepe SK's Veli Kayan threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mustafa Turan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sait Bayazid hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vahap Şahoğlu during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The wind increased when Vahap Şahoğlu made the kick off in the second half. Mustafa Turan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veli Kayan having to interfere. The supporters of BKTRTT booed when Göztepe SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reha Tura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Yahya Kemal Talik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sait Bayazid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Necip Fazıl Tufan's late challenge caught a BKTRTT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Necip Fazıl Tufan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Göztepe SK's Necip Fazıl Tufan got a free kick in the 71st minute. Şafak Attar came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kağan Arabacı could save by the left post. After having played for 84 minutes, Şafak Attar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BKTRTT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şafak Attar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Göztepe SK's Kağan Arabacı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sait Bayazid in the 87th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şafak Attar during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute, Şafak Attar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Sait Bayazid took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Kağan Arabacı to make any attempt to save it. After 96 minutes of play BKTRTT's Şafak Attar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 97th match minute, BKTRTT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şafak Attar to maneuver through the defense.
