The audience was convinced that Baybora Oymen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bahattin Temizel was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Güralp Özgunay during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes Catalpinar got a freekick which was hit by Güralp Özgunay. Yaşar Nuri Gencay got in the 7th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Çelebi Çubukcu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Güralp Özgunay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yaşar Nuri Gencay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çelebi Çubukcu having to interfere. If Atabek Özdoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mahsun Cabir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Catalpinar's goal looked a bit too open when Atabek Özdoğan came free, but Çelebi Çubukcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Yaşar Nuri Gencay notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Catalpinar's Çelebi Çubukcu. Çelebi Çubukcu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Güralp Özgunay was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 28 minutes had been played. Güralp Özgunay hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mahsun Cabirs short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Çelebi Çubukcu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bahattin Temizel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baybora Oymen in the 37th minute of the match. Çelebi Çubukcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaşar Nuri Gencay in the 39th minute of play. Çelebi Çubukcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mahsun Cabir in the 41st minute. Yaşar Nuri Gencay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Çelebi Çubukcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yusuf Gözlem hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Catalpinar's goalkeeper Çelebi Çubukcu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th match minute, Catalpinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afşin Aytuğ to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baybora Oymen was the one to do the kick off. Aktuğ Orhun hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Bektaş Ali Hürmüz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Çelebi Çubukcu. Catalpinar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Catalpinar's Çelebi Çubukcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahsun Cabir in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Yaşar Nuri Gencay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yürekli TÜRK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaşar Nuri Gencay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Catalpinar's Çelebi Çubukcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mahsun Cabir in the 61st minute of play. Çelebi Çubukcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahsun Cabir in the 63rd minute of play. Bahattin Temizel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afşin Aytuğ in the 65th minute. If Yaşar Nuri Gencay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asaf Nadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çelebi Çubukcu having to interfere. Çelebi Çubukcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaşar Nuri Gencay in the 72nd minute of play. Bahattin Temizel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baybora Oymen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yaşar Nuri Gencay in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Çelebi Çubukcu saved Catalpinar from getting behind. Yusuf Gözlem charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yusuf Gözlem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Yürekli TÜRK booed when Catalpinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yusuf Gözlem didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gazanfer Özcan Turabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çelebi Çubukcu having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Catalpinar got a freekick which was hit by Naci Sümeroğlu. After a defensive mix-up in Catalpinar's zone, Yaşar Nuri Gencay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çelebi Çubukcu came out of the goal and Yaşar Nuri Gencay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Afşin Aytuğ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mahsun Cabir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Çelebi Çubukcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahsun Cabir in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yaşar Nuri Gencay in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Çelebi Çubukcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Yürekli TÜRK fully deserved thier win.
