When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Atak Karasu sped through Izmirspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Glauco Varela. In the 30th match minute, Canavarlar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferhat Yaşanur to maneuver through the defense. Haydar Özinan struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Glauco Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canavarlar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artun Hatip during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Izmirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artun Hatip to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Izmirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Atak Karasu came free, but Glauco Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haydar Özinan in the 45th minute of play forced Izmirspor's goalkeeper Glauco Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atak Karasu to make the kick off. With a little luck, Izmirspor's Glauco Varela got control of the ball when Haydar Özinan tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haydar Özinan couldn't finish the play. Şeray Osmanlıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kılıç Savaşer in the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Izmirspor's Aycan Gayret got a free kick in the 57th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Atak Karasu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Glauco Varela. That made the score 0-4 in the 62 minute of play. Atak Karasu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Varela having to interfere. With his leg Glauco Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Canavarlar's Haydar Özinan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Haydar Özinan came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Canavarlar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haydar Özinan couldn't finish the play. Glauco Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atak Karasu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glauco Varela made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Haydar Özinan sent off a good shot on target. Atak Karasu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Varela having to interfere. If Atak Karasu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Izmirspor booed when Canavarlar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinçer Sağbilge didn't get a good kick on the ball.
