The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ahmet Nasir Vahip's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Coşkun Akkın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Songur Suer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alkan Onuralp in the 7th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Erkan Sabit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selcuk's supporters rose to their feet, but Erkan Sabit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Coşkun Akkın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erkan Sabit in the 16th minute of play forced FİLYOSSPOR's goalkeeper Coşkun Akkın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ahmet Nasir Vahip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Songur Suer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alkan Onuralp, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Ahmet Nasir Vahip came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Selcuk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Nasir Vahip couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Erkan Sabit managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience was convinced that Bayındır Mehmet Zağanos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Songur Suer was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The Coşkun Akkın was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. FİLYOSSPOR's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Behiç Aksun 45 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bayındır Mehmet Zağanos to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ahmet Nasir Vahip came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Selcuk fans jumped to their feet.
