Kubilay Tuğsav blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aykan Erkılınç having to make a save. Mehmet Hamdi Kudret made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by İskenderun FK's Berkan Şemseddin. If Bora Han Kadem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atasehir's Bora Han Kadem got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bora Han Kadem was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Bora Han Kadem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ertuğrul Tolun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
