Macit İstemihan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okan Akasoy in the 4th minute of play. Arcan Turgut in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Macit İstemihan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Akasoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Venezia's Arcan Turgut got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezia's Tuğrul Varol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Macit İstemihan. That made the score 2-0 after 41 minutes of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vacid Öztan was the one to do the kick off. Yavuz Selimhan Akalın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Necati Pala in the 53rd minute of play. Göktas FK's Macit İstemihan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arcan Turgut in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Vacid Öztan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Göktas FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Vacid Öztan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yavuz Selimhan Akalın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute of the match, Yetkin Altın got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yavuz Selimhan Akalın was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Göktas FK's Macit İstemihan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arcan Turgut in the 66th minute of play.
