In the 4th minute, Yunus Özsan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aycan İnan. The goal made the score 1-0. Alkın İnanç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kemal Onkal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Egde's zone, Alkın İnanç stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aşkın Ulukan came out of the goal and Alkın İnanç tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kemal Onkal took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aşkın Ulukan. Aşkın Ulukan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Kılıçhan Hisarcık could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Aycan İnan made a huge save. After 22 minutes, Bilgin Siyami mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MALTEPE UTD and the Fc Egde players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of MALTEPE UTD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fc Egde:s goal. Kemal Onkal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Fc Egde's Kılıçhan Hisarcık got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 36 played minutes MALTEPE UTD got a freekick which was hit by Tugay Yalman. In the 37th minute Kayhan Poyraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aycan İnan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kemal Onkal in the 43rd minute of play forced Fc Egde's goalkeeper Aşkın Ulukan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yunus Özsan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 59th match minute, MALTEPE UTD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tugay Yalman to maneuver through the defense. When Alkın İnanç came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the MALTEPE UTD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alkın İnanç couldn't finish the play. If Kutluay Özgenc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alkın İnanç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Aşkın Ulukan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kutluay Özgenc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ömer Rıza Biçim kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Aycan İnan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Oğuz Budak, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Tugay Yalman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aşkın Ulukan having to interfere.
