In the 11th match minute, MardinSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orbay Mutlutekin to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İlbey Sanih in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yavuz Selimhan Akalın prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Okan Akasoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezia's supporters rose to their feet, but Okan Akasoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Engin Sağbilge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezia's goalkeeper Yavuz Selimhan Akalın, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Zühtü Hafızoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezia's protests and gave Zühtü Hafızoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. İlbey Sanih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Adem Uzma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güney Algın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Yavuz Selimhan Akalın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İlbey Sanih in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yavuz Selimhan Akalın saved Venezia from getting behind. İlbey Sanih received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Yavuz Selimhan Akalın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. İlbey Sanih might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yavuz Selimhan Akalın. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İlbey Sanih ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. İlbey Sanih was the one to do the kick off. MardinSpor's Engin Sağbilge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okan Akasoy in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, İlbey Sanih took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Yavuz Selimhan Akalın to make any attempt to save it. Orbay Mutlutekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. The referee gave Zühtü Hafızoğlu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Muhammet Yafes scored 2-4 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Engin Sağbilge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MardinSpor walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
