Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5659, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hamit Karakan started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Atalan Okhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berkant Hurmacı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Doğuş Erüstün. Lions FC's Berkant Hurmacı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hacı Usta in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Turgut İltemir notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Gürsu FK's Şerif Saver. Şerif Saver was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Berkant Hurmacı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamit Karakan in the 13th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Turgut İltemir made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gürsu FK's Şerif Saver tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24thth minute of the game Turgut İltemir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gürsu FK's Şerif Saver was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Sarp İltemur. In the 26th minute Atalan Okhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berkant Hurmacı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berkant Hurmacı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atalan Okhan in the 27th minute of play. Atalan Okhan charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atalan Okhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Şerif Saver was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Şerif Saver stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Turgut İltemir's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Lions FC got a corner. Gürsu FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Turgut İltemir ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Turgut İltemir almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gürsu FK's Şerif Saver did a great save. 42 minutes into the game, Gürsu FK's Hamit Karakan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berkant Hurmacı made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Turgut İltemir was the one to do the kick off. Berkant Hurmacı made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Çağdaş Cantürk sent off a good shot on target. Turgut İltemir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Gürsu FK's goal looked a bit too open when Aygün Nizami came free, but Şerif Saver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Şerif Saver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turgut İltemir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamit Karakan came free, but Berkant Hurmacı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Çağdaş Cantürk's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Berkant Hurmacı firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aygün Nizami in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şerif Saver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Turgut İltemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Aygün Nizami cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Şerif Saver was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Turgut İltemir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şerif Saver having to interfere. In the 89th minute Turgut İltemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şerif Saver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Gürsu FK's goal looked a bit too open when Turgut İltemir came free, but Şerif Saver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gürsu FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
