Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Seyhan İlker started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, B.DORTMUNT's goal looked a bit too open when Seyhan İlker came free, but Özalp Başkara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Halkapinar JK's Seyhan İlker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Özalp Başkara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute Hami Satuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuğrul Özsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, B.DORTMUNT's Özalp Başkara got control of the ball when Ali Uz tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 17 minutes on the clock, Atakan Eskioğlu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 18 played minutes B.DORTMUNT got a freekick which was hit by Atakan Eskioğlu. Ronaldinho Gauche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuğrul Özsu having to interfere. Tuğrul Özsu came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by B.DORTMUNT's Ronaldinho Gauche. But to his dismay, Ronaldinho Gauche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Tuğrul Özsu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldinho Gauche's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Ronaldinho Gauche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. B.DORTMUNT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldinho Gauche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Saltuk Pektürk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Halkapinar JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave B.DORTMUNT the free kick. After a rather tough play, Halkapinar JK's Saltuk Pektürk got a free kick in the 45th minute. Hami Satuk, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tuğrul Özsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gauche, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldinho Gauche to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58thth minute of the game Yusuf Ziya Saye who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but B.DORTMUNT's Özalp Başkara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Özalp Başkara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saltuk Pektürk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seyhan İlker in the 61st minute of play forced B.DORTMUNT's goalkeeper Özalp Başkara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özalp Başkara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yusuf Ziya Saye in the 65th minute of the match. B.DORTMUNT's Ronaldinho Gauche got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 minutes of play Halkapinar JK's Saltuk Pektürk was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ronaldinho Gauche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Tuğrul Özsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Uz's late challenge caught a B.DORTMUNT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ali Uz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of B.DORTMUNT booed when Halkapinar JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Uz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, B.DORTMUNT's Ergin Topel got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ergin Topel charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ergin Topel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ergin Topel hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The B.DORTMUNT supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing B.DORTMUNT would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
