The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Baha Camcıoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gürel Bedih was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Göktan Akdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Vefik Refik, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Göktan Akdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuğrul Dede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gürel Bedih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdi Orcun in the 18th minute of play. Abdi Orcun scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gürel Bedih, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baybora Atikoğlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gürel Bedih. Sinop's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Yusuf Topçay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Göktan Akdal made a huge save. In the 39th minute Hüsamettin Ersoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göktan Akdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdi Orcun scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gürel Bedih, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hüsamettin Ersoy was the one to do the kick off. It was a penalty for Sinop! The goalkeeper, Gürel Bedih, was totally fooled by Afsin's Baha Camcıoğlu, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Yusuf Topçay charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yusuf Topçay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Yusuf Topçay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Göktan Akdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yusuf Topçay in the 90th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Afsin's Gürel Bedih threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abdi Orcun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Afsin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Baha Camcıoğlu in the 93rd minute.
