When Serbülent Ufki came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the SC Asseca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serbülent Ufki couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ç.RİZESPOR getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Caner Oyhan hit a great ball. If Tevfik Koç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doğa Rıza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehmet Emin Özerdem in the 13th minute. Alper Saner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoffrey Redmond having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Ç.RİZESPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caner Oyhan to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes, Alper Saner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Asseca and the Ç.RİZESPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of SC Asseca:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ç.RİZESPOR:s goal. Tevfik Koç's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Doğa Rıza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. SC Asseca's Doğa Rıza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tevfik Koç in the 36th minute of play. Doğa Rıza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehmet Emin Özerdem in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tevfik Koç in the 42nd minute of play forced SC Asseca's goalkeeper Doğa Rıza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tevfik Koç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Doğa Rıza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Tevfik Koç's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Doğa Rıza was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Mehmet Emin Özerdem struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Doğa Rıza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ç.RİZESPOR. SC Asseca's Doğa Rıza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tevfik Koç in the 65th minute of play. If Mehmet Emin Özerdem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Ç.RİZESPOR's protests and gave Mehmet Emin Özerdem a yellow card for diving instead. Mehmet Emin Özerdem hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caner Oyhan in the 84th minute of play forced SC Asseca's goalkeeper Doğa Rıza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ç.RİZESPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Tevfik Koç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doğa Rıza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doğa Rıza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Emin Özerdem in the 93rd minute of play. Mert Ongu hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Asseca players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ç.RİZESPOR.
