Cebrail Uzsoy hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Bakkalköy's Yağız Yesar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korhan Yalaz in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Eşref Öztarhan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bozcaada's Behzat Oğuz. Behzat Oğuz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Başaran Geylanlar in the 32nd minute of play forced Bakkalköy's goalkeeper Yağız Yesar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serdar Yurtseven hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Bakkalköy's goal looked a bit too open when Korhan Yalaz came free, but Yağız Yesar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bozcaada were furious when Mehmet Bilge Şükrü was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Savaş Bağdaş was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Başaran Geylanlar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yağız Yesar. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. When Cebrail Uzsoy fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bozcaada's protests and gave Cebrail Uzsoy a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 64 minutes, Ercan Çalapover managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bakkalköy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercan Çalapover was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cebrail Uzsoy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yağız Yesar came out and tried to block the shot, but Cebrail Uzsoy slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute, Başaran Geylanlar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Eşref Öztarhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bakkalköy's Eşref Öztarhan got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Bakkalköy manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Bozcaada to win.
