In the 6th match minute, GüzelbahÇe SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vural Özonder to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Güngör Sadan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Munio in the 25th minute of play forced Dursunbey's goalkeeper İbrahim Ethem Salur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of GüzelbahÇe SK booed when Dursunbey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ünal Şabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. İbrahim Ethem Salur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Akgün İşçen to make the kick off. Ruhi Reyyan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but İbrahim Ethem Salur made a huge save. With his leg İbrahim Ethem Salur managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when GüzelbahÇe SK's Samuel Munio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 56 minutes, Yılmaz Yaver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GüzelbahÇe SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yılmaz Yaver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aygün Eryavuz hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Dursunbey's Akgün İşçen got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dursunbey's İbrahim Ethem Salur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Dursunbey from getting a goal against them. After 63 minutes, Mevlüt Hanedan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dursunbey and the GüzelbahÇe SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dursunbey's İbrahim Ethem Salur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Dursunbey from getting a goal against them. Orhan Özguven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. İbrahim Ethem Salur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruhi Reyyan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but İbrahim Ethem Salur made a huge save. In the 80th minute Yılmaz Yaver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İbrahim Ethem Salur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Dursunbey got a freekick which was hit by Aygün Eryavuz. A collision led to Dursunbey getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Aygün Eryavuz hit a great ball. İbrahim Ethem Salur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orhan Özguven in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Yılmaz Yaver dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of İbrahim Ethem Salur, 1-6. Güngör Sadan kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
