Mirza Nasuh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sadettin Tomurcuk in the 5th minute. Şehzade Bostan's late challenge caught a Merinos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şehzade Bostan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Erdek getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Şehzade Bostan hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Şenol Kaan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murat Yağızhan. FC Erdek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Şenol Kaan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of FC Erdek booed when Merinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şenol Kaan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a good free kick, Şenol Kaan got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for FC Erdek. In the 15th match minute, FC Erdek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Reha Işık to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes, Turan Tulum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Erdek and the Merinos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Erdek! FC Erdek:s Murat Yağızhan showed great skill when he stopped Mustafa Cumhur Şahinhan:s penalty. Şenol Kaan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murat Yağızhan having to interfere. Murat Yağızhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Ulun, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Şenol Kaan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murat Yağızhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Merinos got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Necmi. In the 32nd minute, Turan Tulum sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Merinos's Mirza Nasuh didn't even have to move. FC Erdek's Engin Kutlualp got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38thth minute of the game Engin Kutlualp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merinos's Mirza Nasuh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If İbrahim Ulun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Sadettin Tomurcuk took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Mirza Nasuh to make any attempt to save it. In the 47th minute, Nadir Necmi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Engin Kutlualp was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sadettin Tomurcuk in the 52nd minute of play forced Merinos's goalkeeper Mirza Nasuh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Engin Kutlualp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Merinos's goal looked a bit too open when Engin Kutlualp came free, but Mirza Nasuh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Erdek's Engin Kutlualp got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Engin Kutlualp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sadettin Tomurcuk came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the FC Erdek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sadettin Tomurcuk couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Merinos's zone, Sadettin Tomurcuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mirza Nasuh came out of the goal and Sadettin Tomurcuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Şenol Kaan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murat Yağızhan. Mirza Nasuh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Murat Yağızhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Ulun, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Merinos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
