The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Altay Tomurcuk kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Utkan Ülker in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. İstemihan İltemur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ecevit Fidan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alaaddin Malgır fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataol Hürsev having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demircan İlbilge in the 27th minute of play forced Süleymaniye SK's goalkeeper Ecevit Fidan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Utkan Ülker in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ataol Hürsev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demircan İlbilge in the 37th minute of play forced Süleymaniye SK's goalkeeper Ecevit Fidan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes of play, Istanbulspor's İstemihan İltemur made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ecevit Fidan was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Demircan İlbilge to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Demircan İlbilge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ecevit Fidan. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Ecevit Fidan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demircan İlbilge, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Süleymaniye SK's goalkeeper Ecevit Fidan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İstemihan İltemur. The supporters of Süleymaniye SK booed when Istanbulspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. İstemihan İltemur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Utkan Ülker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Istanbulspor's Ataol Hürsev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Istanbulspor's Sancarbey Uğursan got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ecevit Fidan made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when İstemihan İltemur sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Istanbulspor's Demircan İlbilge ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ecevit Fidan. Ecevit Fidan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Ecevit Fidan made an important save on a dangerous shot by İstemihan İltemur in the 91st minute. Ecevit Fidan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demircan İlbilge in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demircan İlbilge in the 95th minute of play forced Süleymaniye SK's goalkeeper Ecevit Fidan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Süleymaniye SK's goal looked a bit too open when Demircan İlbilge came free, but Ecevit Fidan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Istanbulspor players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
