Abdulhamit Öğeturk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barışcan Aktaşlıoğlu having to interfere. Barışcan Aktaşlıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaid Yağızkurt in the 15th minute of play. Malatya SK's Barışcan Aktaşlıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulhamit Öğeturk in the 18th minute of play. Özgür Deren kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Abdulhamit Öğeturk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sefa Oytun's late challenge caught a Tirebolu FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sefa Oytun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th match minute, Malatya SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sefa Oytun to maneuver through the defense. Abdulhamit Öğeturk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdulhamit Öğeturk made a kick off. Tirebolu FK's Korhan Dağtekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökçe Balkanlıoğlu in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tirebolu FK's Osman Nuri İsmail got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Korhan Dağtekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökçe Balkanlıoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barışcan Aktaşlıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaid Yağızkurt in the 57th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Oğuzhan Sebati kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Barışcan Aktaşlıoğlu. That made the score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. The Malatya SK fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Malatya SK's Gökçe Balkanlıoğlu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 80 minutes into the match, Abdulhamit Öğeturk notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Malatya SK's Barışcan Aktaşlıoğlu. Barışcan Aktaşlıoğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, Asım Arif Tülün hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tirebolu FK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
