After some careless play in the Gaziantep FK defense, Gazanfer Pekgöz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Metehan Hakim. The Gaziantep FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Metehan Hakim should have stopped the shot. 傅正卫 kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 20th play minutes Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Metehan Hakim and just under the crossbar into goal. Metehan Hakim came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer. But to his dismay, Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, Samsunspor's Nazım Uğuray got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Samsunspor's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 38 minutes into the game, Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Metehan Hakim. Urs-Peter Hindlmeyer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Kazım Lebib hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, Kağan Şahkar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaziantep FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Samsunspor the free kick. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gaziantep FK! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bedrettin Pamir to strike the kick off in the second half. Samsunspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Gazanfer Pekgöz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Metehan Hakim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Enis Nurbay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Samsunspor booed when Gaziantep FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdullatif Özyurt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samsunspor's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
