Hüsnü Temur made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Cumali Balatekin sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Yaprakli booed when Kurtulus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aşık Hafız didn't get a good kick on the ball. Selmi Oran struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Zafer Okyanus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yaprakli. Hüsnü Temur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cumali Balatekin in the 18th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Kurtulus's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Nihat İlkim came free, but Zafer Okyanus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arif Nihat İlkim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Zafer Okyanus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selmi Oran in the 28th minute of play forced Kurtulus's goalkeeper Zafer Okyanus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selim Tansu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Korkut Yılmaz's late challenge caught a Kurtulus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Korkut Yılmaz helped the player get up and apologised. Cumali Balatekin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Hüsnü Temur made a huge save. Yaprakli's Ahmet Korkut Yılmaz got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hüsnü Temur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selim Tansu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurtulus were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Yaprakli's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abdi Saygın Ekincioğlu took the corner. The corner ended in Tamer Garip almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yaprakli's Hüsnü Temur did a great save. Selmi Oran struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Yaprakli's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Selim Tansu 48 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arif Nihat İlkim was the one to do the kick off. Hüsnü Temur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Selim Tansu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Hüsnü Temur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdi Saygın Ekincioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Selim Tansu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hüsnü Temur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yaprakli's Hüsnü Temur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selim Tansu in the 61st minute of play. Cumali Balatekin took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hüsnü Temur. Hüsnü Temur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Yaprakli's Hüsnü Temur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdi Saygın Ekincioğlu in the 75th minute of play. When Arif Nihat İlkim came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Yaprakli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Nihat İlkim couldn't finish the play. Mehmet Ali Korhan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Yaprakli's Necip Tayyip was substituted for Ahmet Korkut Yılmaz. Mehmet Ali Korhan kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Selim Tansu's late challenge caught a Yaprakli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Kurtulus's Zafer Okyanus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Kurtulus from getting a goal against them. Yaprakli's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kurtulus had won, even though Yaprakli had held more of the ball.
