A collision led to Sezai getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Erbatur Acıbadem hit a great ball. Mustafa Ali Azimli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cankut Ertüze having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bedrettin Pamir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gaziantep FK's Akın Sarvan got a free kick in the 56th minute.
