Yaprakli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Korkut Yılmaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sezai's Cankut Ertüze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Nihat İlkim in the 35th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tuncay Süleyman made a kick off. Erbatur Acıbadem got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Sezai getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. After 75 played minutes Yaprakli got a freekick which was hit by Arif Nihat İlkim. Yaprakli's Necip Tayyip was substituted for Ahmet Korkut Yılmaz. The supporters of Sezai booed when Yaprakli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Nihat İlkim didn't get a good kick on the ball.
