Sedat Çoğaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aykan Çırakoğlu having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Tayfun Ekinoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Gani Onsal took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nemesio Gaitan to make any attempt to save it. Aktan Ülkümen's late challenge caught a HATAY SPOR SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aktan Ülkümen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of HATAY SPOR SK booed when Kizilcahamam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 50th match minute, Kizilcahamam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabri Onur to maneuver through the defense. If Haldun Ergazi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Özdemir Canal notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of HATAY SPOR SK's Nemesio Gaitan. Nemesio Gaitan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kizilcahamam's goalkeeper Aykan Çırakoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aykan Çırakoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sedat Çoğaş in the 70th minute of play. HATAY SPOR SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aktan Ülkümen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Haldun Ergazi hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. HATAY SPOR SK's Güneş Acarsoy got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nemesio Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabri Onur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aykan Çırakoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sedat Çoğaş in the 95th minute of the match. Kizilcahamam's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
