In the 7thth minute of the game Aktuğ Baransel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tekirdağ's Güray Urluk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the last second Güray Urluk throw himself and got hold of the ball when Aktuğ Baransel in the 7thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The Tekirdağ fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Tekirdağ's Ali Güralp Enginer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 15 minutes into the match, Selim Delioğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Güray Urluk. Tekirdağ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Selim Delioğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The Tekirdağ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Tekirdağ's Güray Urluk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Tekirdağ from getting a goal against them. If Aktuğ Baransel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Ahmet Fikret Mazlum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arif Tugay Onat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedat Yumus in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Vedat Yumus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Hüseyin Orgun in the 36th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tekirdağ's Ramazan İmamoğlu. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vedat Yumus to make the kick off. Ali Güralp Enginer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arif Tugay Onat came out and tried to block the shot, but Ali Güralp Enginer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 51st minute. After 56 played minutes Elazigspor FK got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Hakkı İlkcan. If Vedat Yumus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aktuğ Baransel in the 73rd minute of play forced Tekirdağ's goalkeeper Güray Urluk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Güray Urluk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aktuğ Baransel's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Vedat Yumus took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arif Tugay Onat. Arif Tugay Onat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The supporters of Tekirdağ booed when Elazigspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Fikret Mazlum didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elazigspor FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tekirdağ the free kick. The supporters of Tekirdağ booed when Elazigspor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aktuğ Baransel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Ali Güralp Enginer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Fikret Mazlum kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Ali Güralp Enginer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Arif Tugay Onat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tekirdağ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
